But Wally continues loving Robin- silently, unwaveringly, and completely devoted for years. It's almost heartbreaking for everyone to witness this, and he's been told more than once to move on and find somebody else.
Roy decides to make Wally his, because he's been in love with Wally forever and has been holding back because of Robin. He romances him slowly and lovingly so he doesnt scare Wally away, and Wally finds himself with feelings for someone other than Robin for the first time in years. Cue epic confrontation when Robin realizes that, hey, he actually LIKED all the attention Wally showered him with and wants him for himself again.
